Ugh, can we just talk about how great this episode is. I know it is a little preachy, but idk, I love how they handled it. Starfire could have cried out at any time about Val-Yor’s discrimination, but she completely bites the bullet in favor of their mission. For the sake of protecting other people. And so often, stories of this nature end with “the person in the wrong sees the error of their ways and pays for their wrongdoing,” but not here. Val-Yor’s opinion does not change even after she saves his life. Starfire still deals with it like a pro, though, and more often than not, that’s how it has to work in real life too. I don’t know how anyone can dislike Star after seeing just how boundless her kindness and maturity is in this episode.
